Ingredients

  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced (preferably organic)
  • 1–2 inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and thinly sliced or grated
  • 8 cups cold water (filtered, if possible)

Optional add-ins:
Fresh mint leaves, cucumber slices, a dash of honey or maple syrup, or a pinch of turmeric

Instructions

1. Prepare the Ingredients

  • Lemon: Wash thoroughly and slice into thin rounds, removing seeds.
  • Ginger: Peel using a spoon or peeler, then slice thinly or grate for stronger flavor.

2. Infuse

  • Add lemon and ginger to a large glass pitcher.
  • Pour in the cold water and stir gently.
  • Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
    • For deeper flavor, steep 4–6 hours or overnight.

3. Serve

  • Pour into glasses (over ice if desired).
  • Enjoy immediately, or keep refrigerated and consume within 24 hours for best freshness.
