
A wild and delicious mashup of breakfast and dinner!
This recipe uses crispy French toast as the bun, a juicy beef patty, melty cheese, bacon, onions, and a tangy “Big Mac–style” sauce. It’s over-the-top, comforting, and ridiculously good.
Ingredients
For the Burgers
- 1 pound ground beef
- Salt & pepper to taste
- ½ onion, thinly sliced
- 2 slices American cheese
- 4 slices cooked bacon
For the French Toast “Buns”
- 4 thick-cut slices of bread
- 4 large eggs
- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup milk
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt & pepper
Optional Sauce (Big Mac–Style)
If you want the classic flavor, use your favorite Big Mac copycat sauce or store-bought “special sauce.”
Instructions
1. Cook the Burgers
- Divide the ground beef into two equal patties.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook in a skillet over medium-high heat until done to your liking.
- Set aside.
2. Prepare the Onions & Bacon
- Cook bacon until crispy; set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté the sliced onions until soft and lightly golden.
3. Make the French Toast “Buns”
- In a bowl, whisk together:
- Eggs
- Heavy cream
- Milk
- Garlic powder
- Salt & pepper
- Dip each bread slice fully into the mixture.
- Cook in a buttered skillet until both sides are golden and crispy.
4. Assemble the Burgers
- Spread Big Mac sauce on the inside of each French toast slice (optional).
- Place each beef patty on a slice of French toast.
- Top with:
- 1 slice American cheese
- Cooked bacon
- Sautéed onions
- Finish with another slice of French toast on top.
5. Optional Upgrade (Extra Crunchy Version)
- Secure the whole burger tightly with toothpicks.
- Deep fry briefly until crispy on the outside.
(Skip this step if you’re avoiding fried foods.)
