🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 loaf white sandwich bread, sliced
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 egg
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 ½ teaspoons cinnamon
  • ½ cup butter, melted

👩‍🍳 Preparation

  1. Prep the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly butter a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Prepare the Bread:
Trim off the crusts from each bread slice (you can save them for breadcrumbs or another use).
Use a rolling pin to flatten each slice completely.
  3. Make the Filling:
In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
Add the egg and ¼ cup of the sugar, mixing until fully combined.
  4. Fill and Roll:
Spread the cream cheese mixture over each flattened slice.
Roll up the bread, then cut each roll in half or into thirds.
Place the pieces seam-side down in the prepared baking dish.
  5. Add Butter & Sugar:
Brush the tops generously with melted butter.
In a small bowl, mix the remaining sugar with cinnamon, then sprinkle it evenly over the rolls.
  6. Bake:
Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serve warm for the best flavor and texture.
