JALAPEÑO POPPER CASSEROLE

This rich, cheesy, slightly spicy casserole is the perfect comfort meal. With creamy jalapeños, seasoned ground beef, and plenty of melty cheese, it’s a guaranteed crowd-pleaser and simple to make.

🛒 Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 4 oz canned diced jalapeños, drained (or fresh diced jalapeños)
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ¼ cup chopped green onions (for garnish)

👩‍🍳 Directions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
    Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the Beef:
    Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Mix the Cream Base:
    In a large bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the Flavor:
    Stir in the diced jalapeños, along with half of the cheddar and half of the mozzarella.
  5. Combine Everything:
    Add the cooked ground beef and mix until fully combined.
  6. Assemble:
    Spread the mixture evenly into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  7. Add the Topping:
    Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and mozzarella over the top.
  8. Bake:
    Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted, bubbly, and lightly golden.
  9. Serve:
    Let the casserole rest for a few minutes, then garnish with chopped green onions.
