Ingredients
Method
- Place the chopped cabbage in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- Arrange the chicken thighs on top of the cabbage.
- Sprinkle the garlic powder evenly over the chicken and cabbage.
- Pour the chicken broth around the edges.
- Dot the top with pieces of butter.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
- Shred or slice the chicken and stir it together with the buttery cabbage before serving.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste, if desired.
Notes
- Boneless chicken breasts may be substituted for thighs, though thighs remain juicier.
- Add sliced carrots or onions for extra vegetables.
- Serve with rice, mashed potatoes, or crusty bread for a complete meal.
