Ingredients

  • 2 cups 340 g white chocolate chips
  • 1 can 14 oz / 396 g sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 –2 teaspoons green tea powder such as matcha
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Method

  1. Prepare the pan: Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal.
  2. Melt the chocolate: Add the white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter to a saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth and completely melted.
  3. Add the flavor: Remove from the heat and stir in the green tea powder, vanilla extract, and salt until evenly combined and smooth.
  4. Pour into the pan: Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and spread it into an even layer.
  5. Chill: Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until the fudge is firm.
  6. Slice: Lift the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper and cut into 16 squares.
  7. Serve: Serve chilled or let the pieces sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Start with 1 teaspoon of green tea powder and add more for a stronger flavor.
  • Sift the green tea powder before adding it to help prevent lumps.
  • Keep the heat low when melting the chocolate to prevent it from scorching.
  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
